Union Plus Offering Disaster Relief Funds: Find Out If Your Eligible!

To help union members struggling as a result of Hurricane Sandy, Union Plus is offering Disaster Relief Grants. About 30 counties around New York City (including lower Manhattan, the Bronx, Queens, Staten Island and Long Island), the Jersey shore (from Cape May to Asbury Park) and Connecticut (including Fairfield and New Haven) qualify for individual assistance.

Help families affected by Hurricane Sandy and donate to United Way

Over the past few days, Hurricane Sandy has torn apart the lives of millions of Americans. With leadership from United Way of New York City, United Ways along the Eastern Seabord have established the United Way Hurricane Sandy Recovery Fund to address near-term and long-term recovery needs of communities most affected by the hurricane. Contributions will be used by United Ways in Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Virginia, Washington, DC and West Virginia to address recovery needs in communities that FEMA has declared disaster areas.
