President Woodard Calls for Removal of Newark Superintendent
American Federation of School Administrators President Diann Woodard recently sent a letter to the New Jersey State Board of Education in support of the June 3 petition asking for the removal of Newark Superintendent Cami Anderson.
President Woodard explains how “Anderson’s failure to adequately provide for special needs students, her elimination of appropriate supervisory and support staff to meet the needs of Newark’s youth, her utilization of substitute teachers while removing qualified educators from their positions” are just some of the reasons why she should be immediately removed from her position.
AFSA stands with and supports our Newark local, the City Association of Supervisors and Administrators (CASA) and Newark teachers advocating for a better education system.
