NLRB Rules in Favor of Florida School Bus Drivers

FT. WALTON BEACH, Fla. – After it’s long-campaign to unionize school bus drivers, Teamsters Local 991 has finally been approved by Michael Rosas, an administrative law judge at the National Labor Relations Board.

Rosas found the British-owned First Student Corporation to be guilty of several charges of labor law-breaking in Labor 991’s two-year campaign to organize drivers. The administrative law judge ordered the firm to discontinue spying on and threatening to deny leave time for workers.

The election has already been held, but ballots have been seized since the firm took the case to federal court.
