OLEAN, N.Y. (PAI)–Teamsters Local 264 members at Stroehmann Bakeries and Grocery Haulers Inc., in Olean, N.Y., overwhelmingly ratified two contracts in late August, Local 264 President Brian Dickman said.  The 15 route sales drivers and garage mechanics at the bakery voted 14-1 for a successor agreement that improves wages and maintains health care benefits.  The 25 transport drivers for GHI, who distribute the bakery products, ratified a first contract by 20-4.  It improves pay, health care coverage and time off and maintains their bakery seniority  And if GHI loses the bakery’s business in the future, the drivers’ jobs will be protected, a memorandum of understanding adds.  “These agreements provide six years of improved wages and protect the members’ health care and retirement,” Dickman said.
