How This Bill Affects Education:

This bill would put health and physical education in the forefront for teachers and principals. Health and physical education would be part of the core academic subjects. To ensure this happens, the Secretary of Education can award grants to LEAs to get those programs started or expanded in the schools. Like the Fit Bill, this bill ensures that health and physical classes are part of a child’s education.
