International Dyslexia Association Hosts Annual Conference

To wrap up Dyslexia Awareness Month, the International Dyslexia Association (IDA) hosted its annual conference on October 28-31 in Grapevine, Texas.

The IDA conference, which consisted of professional development opportunities with keynote speakers and presentations, was held at the Texan Gaylord Resort & Convention Center.

It was dedicated to reading, literacy and learning.

There were nearly 2,000 attendees including teachers, educators, administrators, reading specialists and researchers.

IDA encouraged all participants to stay connected via social media for updated conference information, and using the hashtag #dyslexiacon.

Networking and social events were provided.

The Dallas Branch of IDA hosted an evening of Texas hospitality at Cross Timbers Winery.  Proceeds went toward Educational/Academic Therapy, a scholarship program for financial need-based students with dyslexia.
