Hillary Clinton Receives Union Endorsements

Four construction unions recently supported the former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton for her 2016 presidential campaign. Endorsements included the Roofers, the Bricklayers, the Carpenters and the United Association of Plumbers and Pipefitters.

“Our members want a president who places a high value on labor, on what we bring not only to the job, but to the economy and to our communities,” said Roofers President Kinsey Robinson. “Hillary Clinton is the most experienced candidate in the race.”

With seven unions endorsing, the construction unions appraised Clinton’s commitment to the right to organize and realization of how union presence is closely related to the economic health and quality of community life in America.

Clinton’s opponent, Senator Bernie Sanders, has only one union endorsement: National Nurses United.

“Hillary Clinton is a fighter and has consistently fought for our issues on many levels of government,” Carpenters President Douglas McCarron’s official statement said. “She will govern based on her understanding of the critical roles unions play in strengthening the middle class and our country.”
