Celebrating Labor Day

AFSA recognizes the sacrifices school professionals selflessly make on a daily basis, all in the name of supporting their communities and providing a quality public education to all children.

The nation will pause to recognize and celebrate these types of tremendous contributions for all America’s working people on Labor Day.

To help you plan, and to make most of this coming Labor Day, we are pleased to provide you with access to the AFL-CIO’s new Labor Day Toolkit – http://labor-day-2015.hq.afl-cio.serenity-v1.aflcio.org/#!/#!/.

The toolkit allows union members to take action, and to use this significant holiday as a means to support public policies that provide all workers with a better life. We urge you to take a moment and visit the toolkit, and take advantage of the resources offered – you can find a Labor Day event near you, take action by writing the Secretary of Labor, or download flyers and other printable materials for issues you care deeply about.

AFSA would like to thank all the hardworking members of the education community for everything they do for their students, their colleagues, and their families. Happy Labor Day!
